Fox Force Five Recorders

Welcome to the Fox Force Five Recorders webpage.  Fox Force Five is the personal recording studio of GRAMMY winning producer and engineer J.J. Blair.

Located in the Hollywood Hills, construction of the studio was started in 1994 and completed in 1995, using the design of studio architect Bret Thoeny, known for studios such as Bob Clearmountain’s Mix This.  With its top grade acoustics, state of the art balanced power and homey atmosphere, J.J. gave the rooms a complement of some of the best vintage outboard gear, microphones and instruments, in order to create the ultimate recording environment.

Clients and artists recorded here over the years have included Johnny and June Carter Cash, Weezer, P. Diddy, Rod Stewart, Smokey Robinson, George Benson, Stephen Bishop, David Cassidy, Kelly Clarkson, Ryan Adams, Bird York, Unwritten Law,  Black Eyed Peas, Vonda Shepard, Don Was, Ali Sudol, Jason Falkner, Mase, Tommy Stinson and many others.
